The Writing Cycle
We have just begun to explore poetry during Writer's Workshop. As you can see, we are writing everywhere we can! Currently we are exploring the voices of poetry. We are using our planner and the Earth portraits to create a poem showing our knowledge! We are in the process of revising and editing and we will soon be publishing. Earth Portraits
After reading a book all about Earth, we decided to create Earth Portraits. Everyone had a unique and interesting way of creating a portrait. Stop by the classroom to see them all.
Our Bulletin Board
This sign was created by Mrs. Mackey and painted by yours truly. It is next to our classroom bulletin board in the hallway. Don't forget to come by and see the great work your students are accomplishing!!Multiplication
Here we are hard at work creating arrays to solve muliplication problems. Our skip counting practice is coming in handy!
The 100th day of School
We decided to celebrate the third grade way! We used our new planner: How the World Works to explore the final frontier. Each group had to create a book of 100 things that have to do with space. There was a lot of research going on! Mr. Baker decided to visit and was quite impressed with the students knowledge and their ability to gather information. We created several books that we will be able to use throughout the planner. Way to go, Fantastic Frogs!
