Musters' Magical Meteorites

Postcards from Outer Space

As we finish our unit of inquiry on space, we decided to utilize all the information we learned to write about our favorite planet or place in space. The students wrote as if they were visiting and sending a postcard home about their adventure. Take a minute to open up the postcard to see what they wrote!

Making A Difference

The Fantastic Frogs wanted to help let our Governor Rick Perry know how much their school meanst to them. We took a walk thru the school noticing all the great things about it. Next, we wrote letters, poems and songs that a parent brought to the state capital .
Here is Elsa's poem:
We have a quiet library wth people sharing books.
We have a fun science teacher.
We have a creative art teacher.
We have teachers that make learning fun.
We have lunch ladies that make delicious food.
We have lunch mangers that everyone loves, and they make lunch not boring at all.
We have a smart compter teacher.
We have a knowledgable librarian.
We have an exciting spanish teacher.
we have a beautiful sound music teacher.
We have an energic P.E. Teacher.
We have a beautiful garden.
We have hardworking kindergartens, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th graders
We have exciting field trips.
We even have LDC!!!

Teacher Appreciated!

Thank you everyone for making me so special.
I loved all the treats and surprises.
The flowers made the whole room smell good
and the blank books have already been put to good use!
I am very lucky to have the best third graders ever who have the nicest parents!
All your gifts were greatly appreciated
Love Ms. Musters

The Fantastic Frogs Are Out of This World

The Fantastic Frogs are Out of this World!
Attention, The Fantastic Frogs just landed on the moon! Last week we took a field trip to the Museum of Natural Science. We went to the moon on a space adventure. Each student got their own job for being an astronaut. We went into space and navigated ourselves onto Tranquility base. We had to read read READ so we could complete the missions. Everything went smoothly until… there was a power outage! The life support team had so save us and they did. We all worked together with that big mission and will work on many more. Also in space busy jobs have been going on. Data got 35 messages! We got to move a robot arm and recorded it on a white board. After we landed on the moon our space mission was done! Next, the frogs leaped to the IMAX 3D theater. It felt like we were blasting off into space. We even got a little dizzy. We learned about how special Earth is and even had a look at the Hubble telescope. We learned about the Orion nebula which is a group of stars (three stars) in one row. Then we ate lunch on a gigantic hill. No one could even count how many kids were rolling down it. And that was the end of our field trip. Here’s a little word we would like to say, “Thank you to all the parents that helped us on the field trip.”
