The African American Library was a great learning experience. It is housed in one of the first African American schools. It contains an exhibit that tells the story of African Americans through video, pictures, artifacts and oral storytelling. We were especially inspired by the Adinkra Symbols embedded in the walkway in the front of the library. The field trip was a great way to begin our new planner: Who We Are.
