What an adventure! The Discoverers had an amazing time at the George Observatory. We started with a slide show about the galaxy learning about the planets. Our presenter could not believe we were third graders because we knew so much information!! That segment of the field trip ended in a song about the planets. (I got that part on video!) Next, we went to mission control where all students were assigned jobs such as life support, probe launcher, commander and researcher. We had no idea what would happen next! They brought us to another room that was like walking through space and through a secret door. We ended up in a room like a spaceship. It was incredible. Everyone did a great job following the directions and taking off for a trip to the moon. What an exciting day!George Observatory
