The Navigators were introduced to Adinkra symbols at the African-American Library.
Adinkra symbols can be used to express particular attitudes. We decided to apply that to our planner: Who We Are. During this unit of inquiry, we were introduced to many people throughout history who made a difference by taking action. Each student choose one person and then developed an Adinkra symbol that would best represent that person.
