Next, we took a closer look at the inside of a pumpkin. The students were very curious why it looks the way it does. Lots of questions arose so I think we will have to cut another pumpkin to investigate further. We wondered why it was wet, why it looks like a spider web inside and why were the seeds hiding? We thought there would be less than 100 seeds, but we surprised to find out there were almost 200 seeds! Does every pumpkin have the same amount of seeds?
