We could not have asked for a more perfect day for our Field Day!
Our Snowy Day
Our snowy day in the classroom continued with our own adventures. The Superheroes developed the plot of a story involving snow. After writing their own adventure, they were able to create a snowy picture with glitter to go with the story.
A Snowy Day
The recent snowy day in Houston inspired me to create a snowy day in the classroom. We started by reading The Snowy Day by Ezra Jack Keats. This led to a class discussion about clouds and how the snow was created. Next, we took a few basic ingredients: baking soda and creme rinse to create our own snow. The dry and wet ingredients together formed a cold wet clay like mixture! We used the snow to create our own snowballs and snowmen. The best thing is it didn't melt!
