Camping in the classroom.

Camping in the classroom was an unusual experience (as one student noted.)! What an experience! Thank you Patrick's mom and dad for coming to visit us. Patrick's mom started the campfire experience and made us smores! Patrick's dad showed us the work he is doing constructing a freeway. Quinn's grandfather also came to visit and gave us the builder's perspective on architecture. We worked in our cooperative groups to create straw and paperclip construction in our tents. We also researched famous buildings to determine their function, style and the resources used to make them. The camp ended with a class party!
Thank you to all the parents for helping to make this happen. It was quite a learning experience for all of us and we had fun too!
