Conferencing

During Writer's Workshop, the students complete the writing cycle independently.  Here the students are  conferencing to determine what needs to be revised.  In a writer's conference, a student will read their work out loud and ask their classmates for constructive criticism.  This will lead to a discussion of what part of the writing they liked and will invite discussions about the piece.  Students can ask questions of the writer to help make the story or poem easier for the reader to understand.
