We have delved into our last planner of first grade. The students are very excited because it is all about art. We conducted a questionnaire and gathered data about what kind of art do you like. The answer was surprising because the majority of students said sculptures. This week I utilized all those beautiful flowers I received for teacher appreciation to do a lesson on the art of Georgia O'Keeffe. The students chose a flower that intrigued them and we examined them very closely. Next, we drew what we saw BIG like Georgia does. The final step is painting!
